Mountain Bridge: Old World Charm, Desert Mountain Views
Most master-planned communities don't have a landmark. Mountain Bridge does. The community is named for its centerpiece, a rustic stone bridge that connects its northern and southern halves for both cars and pedestrians.
Mountain Bridge covers 717 acres, and 304 of them are open space. It sits near McKellips and Ellsworth Roads, with mountain views to the north and east. Award-winning Blandford Homes built the community, which is planned for about 1,400 homes across 12 gated neighborhoods. It's known for Old World, Mediterranean, and Andalusian architecture, and most homesites back onto open space.
Trails and Outdoor Adventure
Paved and natural-surface trails wind through the community for walking, running, and biking, along with pocket parks and desert landscaping. Just west on McKellips Road, Desert Foothills Park has picnic spots, play structures, and easy access to trails.
Usery Mountain Regional Park is about three miles away. It has more than 29 miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails, including climbs like Pass Mountain and Wind Cave. The Salt River and Saguaro Lake are nearby for boating, tubing, and paddling. Golfers can choose from nearby courses such as Las Sendas, Longbow, Red Mountain Ranch and Gold Canyon.
Close to Work, Travel, and Everything Else
Northeast Mesa is home to one of Arizona's biggest aerospace hubs. Falcon Field Airport is a local city-owned general aviation airport. Right next to the field, Boeing's Mesa facility builds and maintains the AH-64 Apache helicopter and has employed roughly 4,800 people directly in recent years. Falcon Field is also home to dozens of other aerospace and defense companies, which makes Mountain Bridge a convenient base for aviation and engineering professionals.
The Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway is only about a mile from the entrance. Sky Harbor International, Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, and Scottsdale are each about 25 minutes away.
The Owners Club
The Mountain Bridge Owners Club is the center of community life. It has a resort-style heated pool with lap lanes, a beach entry, an outdoor spa, and a fitness center. Sports enthusiasts enjoy basketball, tennis, and pickleball courts, a putting green, and a 9-hole disc golf course. An event lawn, playground, ping pong, and cornhole are also available for residents to enjoy. The clubhouse also has meeting room space for gatherings and private events.
Neighbors come together at the clubhouse for concerts and wine nights, and people often stop to chat along the walking paths.
Schools
Mountain Bridge is in the Mesa Public Schools district. Zaharis Elementary, a highly rated K–6 school, sits near the community. The community is also within the boundaries for Mesa Academy for Advanced Studies, Fremont Junior High and Red Mountain High School, with bus service available.
In the Arizona Department of Education's FY25 grades, both Zaharis Elementary, Mesa Academy for Advanced Studies and Red Mountain High School earned A ratings. Red Mountain High had the highest score among the district's comprehensive high schools. It also runs a STEM Institute, and since 2012 more than 250 of its graduates have signed to play college athletics.
A Community for All Ages
Mountain Bridge is not age-restricted. It welcomes residents of all ages, with abundant open space, parks, and trails that support an active lifestyle. Kids have the pool and playground. Retirees and empty nesters have pickleball, tennis, the putting green, and a full social calendar at the clubhouse. The gated neighborhoods offer privacy, and the Owners Club offers community.
