Las Sendas

Where the Desert Meets Luxury

Las Sendas means "the paths" in Spanish, and the name fits. Roughly 36% of the community is preserved as natural or landscaped open space, including hiking and biking trails, and is tucked up against the Tonto National Forest and Las Sendas Mountain. Comprised of over 3,400 homes, Las Sendas is East Mesa’s premier master-planned community. Residents enjoy quiet desert living without giving up everyday convenience.

Resort-Style Amenities

The community's social hub is at the Trailhead. This 12,000+ square-foot clubhouse features craftsman-style architecture with exposed wood trusses and stone, and it includes a fitness center, theraputic spa, banquet and conference rooms, catering facility, and outdoor event space. Right next to it you'll find the Trailhead pool, tennis courts, BBQ ramadas, and green spaces.

At the south end of the community are the Boulder Mountain Park Amenities, featuring a heated pool, separate wading pool for little ones, and a heated spa. Golfers can play the 18-hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., which is known for its panoramic views. The course clubhouse includes a pro shop, sports bar and restaurant, The Patio and Grille. The Patio at Las Sendas earned the 2026 Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator, one of the world’s leading authorities on wine.

Something for Every Stage of Life

Las Sendas was designed for a healthy lifestyle and activities that bring multiple generations together. Recurring events like Food Truck Fridays, holiday festivals, and fitness clubs keep neighbors connected.

Kids can splash at the play pools, and the athletic club has fitness classes and special programs for children. For retirees and empty nesters, there's golf, pickleball, bocce, and group fitness. There are also dozens of social clubs to join. For low-maintenance living, the Cachet townhomes come in one- and two-story plans and have their own clubhouse, pool, and fitness center. Windsong offers patio homes on smaller lots.

Buyers who want a stable neighborhood will appreciate one detail in particular. In May 2022, more than 75% of owners voted to amend the CC&Rs and prohibit short-term rentals.

Trails and Outdoor Adventure

Fourteen trails loop through the community and connect to three on-site parks. Boulder Mountain Park has pickleball, tennis, bocce, baseball, splash pad, shaded play structure and soccer field. Trailhead Park has a 25-meter lap pool, heated spa, and kiddie pool. Sonoran Heights has sand volleyball, basketball and shaded play structures.

Just beyond the community, Usery Mountain Regional Park offers 29 miles of hiking trails. Water lovers are close to the Salt River and Saguaro Lake, where locals go kayaking, tubing, fishing, boating, and paddling.

Schools

Las Sendas Elementary, home of the Coyotes, sits right inside the community. It has earned a GreatSchools rating of 10 out of 10, which few public elementary schools in Arizona receive. About two-thirds of its students score proficient or above in math and reading, which is well ahead of both the district and state averages.

Students typically move on to Fremont Junior High and then Red Mountain High School. Red Mountain High runs a STEM Institute, and since 2012 more than 250 of its graduates have signed to play college athletics.

Families also have strong options nearby. Mesa Academy for Advanced Studies, a grades 4–8 International Baccalaureate school right in the 85207 ZIP code, was just ranked the #1 public elementary school in Arizona by SchoolDigger and the #2 middle school according to U.S. News and World Report. Self Development Charter School is one of Arizona's most acclaimed K–8 programs. Zaharis Elementary and Red Mountain Ranch Elementary are other high-performing schools within a few miles.

Close to Work, Travel, and Everything Else

Many residents work in aerospace, and Las Sendas is well placed for it. Falcon Field Airport is a city-owned general aviation airport in northeast Mesa. Boeing runs its Mesa facility right next to the field, where it builds and maintains the AH-64 Apache helicopter. Boeing Mesa has employed roughly 4,800 people directly in recent years. When Boeing is included, the airport area generates an estimated $6.8 billion in annual economic benefit. That makes Las Sendas an easy commute for engineers, technicians, and aviation professionals.

For errands, the Village at Las Sendas and Ridgeview Plaza have coffee shops, restaurants, and everyday services. Target, Safeway, and Mesa Riverview are just minutes away. The Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway is nearby, which puts Sky Harbor International, Mesa Gateway Airport, and Scottsdale all under 30 minutes away.
